If you’re feeling limited by your point & shoot camera , it is best that you choose a camera that is D-SLR Camera. The difference between a D-SLR camera and an point & shoot one is that the former allows the photographer to adjust the aperture as well as the camera’s shutter speed.
So you have decided to purchase a digital SLR Camera . Now the hard part starts, trying to decide which camera is the best for your needs. As you probably already know there is a huge selection of cameras on the market today, some good , some bad. Trying to find the right one for you can be a daunting task. what brand camera should i get ? How much do you have to spend to get a quality product ?
It doesn’t matter what brand of a camera you use. but as a beginner, you should choose which camera brand to buy ! Canon or Nikon ? Olympus or Pentax? whenever, brand-name camera system on the market today will give you good results. Some things to take into consideration when choosing a brand are availability of lenses. Someday, you may want to buy them. Also consider things like image stabilization, custom features, ruggedness, and how easy it is to use. in my opinion,Canon and Nikon are both really good, and they both have models that are affordable and great for beginners. One point here to consider.Nikon and Canon together have more than 90% of the DSLR market. That means it’s probably going to be easier to find educational materials, accessories ,support, and so on. If you don’t like the Canon and Nikon, you can choose Olympus or Pentax. if many of your friends are using Canon or Nikon, you can buy the same brand, you can get many support and borrow lenses from yours friends. My best friend is using Pentax K20D and have a dozen of lens, so my first DSLR Camera is Pentax K-X.
The thing that you really have to be on the lookout for when you are purchasing either a Canon or a Nikon DSLR is whether the camera is best suited for what you are looking to accomplish (i.e. landscapes, portraits, sports, etc.).
